We have limited our research to delicate wines, not very robust and full-bodied because on this occasion we served appetizers or light and fresh food. We chose only still or sparkling white wines with a delicate and unobtrusive aroma, mainly floral and fruity. We also bet on them because the wines for the aperitif on the beach should be characterized by a marked freshness. These types of wine have this key property. We will tell you more: the wines that are part of our list can also be served at lower temperatures than the standard, therefore very fresh. A real pleasure against the summer heat! 1. Prosecco Brut Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene

Let’s start with a timeless classic for the aperitif. Lightness, pleasantness and freshness are all typical and recognized qualities of Prosecco, which we find in Prosecco D.O.C. Brut Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene.

Straw yellow, it is a sparkling wine with a bouquet of typical and well-defined aromas of white flowers and fresh fruit, which give an olfactory sensation of finesse and elegance. The taste reveals a fresh acidity and a really pleasant lively, which accentuates the perception of freshness on the palate.

How to serve it: immerse the bottle in the ice bucket 30 minutes before serving the wine, until it reaches a serving temperature of around 6 ºC. Use glasses of the flûte type.

2. Bollicine Blanc de Noir Nika di Volpaia

Now we move on to a wine different from the usual known. A classic method made from Pinot Noir grapes from Oltrepò Pavese that has its trademark in the liqueur d'expedition made from Zibibbo grapes from Pantelleria. A unique recipe that produces a great sparkling wine. It is called Bollicine Blanc de Noir Nika di Volpaia.

Bright straw yellow, it has floral aromas, enriched by intense notes of bread crust and dried fruit. It has a certain persistence and it shows a marked elegance and finesse. The taste is fresh, with a remarkable revitalizing effect.

How to serve it: we recommend a serving temperature around 9-10 ºC, but it can be served at a couple of degrees less to enhance the freshness of taste.

3. Custoza Vigne di San Pietro

A nice mix of grapes typical of the Garda Lake area, especially Trebbiano and Garganega, characterizes the Custoza D.O.C. Le Vigne di San Pietro.

The color is straw yellow, while its bouquet of scents ranges from floral to fruity, typical of the Garganega grape. The palate is light and delicate. A truly pleasant wine, ideal to enhance fresh dishes and seafood appetizers.

How to serve it: we recommend it at a service temperature of about 10 ºC.

4. Principe di Corleone Bianco Alcamo Pollara

The white wine that we now recommend is produced from two of the most typical and characteristic Sicilian vines: Inzolia and Catarratto. It is the Bianco Alcamo D.O.P. Principe di Corleone Pollara.

Straw yellow with greenish reflections, it is a wine with aromatic notes of fresh fruit, pear in particular, and citrus fruits, especially grapefruit. The palate is seductive thanks to its fresh acidity and savory and mineral notes. It has everything to be served fresh, very fresh!

How to serve it: to drink absolutely at lower temperatures than the standard. It is perfect at about 8 ºC.

5. Kerner Palladium Martini & Sohn

If you want to surprise and surprise yourself, serve Kerner Palladium Martini & Sohn, one of those white wines produced in the mountains but that love the sea and the seafood. Kerner, in fact, is the name of a white grape variety typically cultivated in Alto Adige.

This wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. It has a well defined aromas and good intensity: herbaceous notes and fresh flowers on a slightly spicy background. We like it for its fresh acidity, in our opinion the characteristic feature of the gustatory examination and what led us to recommend it as an original aperitif.

How to serve it: the service temperature is about 10-12 ºC. You can serve it a couple of degrees less to enhance its fresh acidulous vein.
