Trebbiano d'Abruzzo Fonte a Monte Di Berardino 2022

Trebbiano is a vine spread throughout Italy, but it is in Abruzzo where it gives the best grapes. This white wine is made from a careful selection of sole Trebbiano grapes. The maceration takes place at low temperature before destemming the grapes, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. It has pale yellow color with small green reflections, at nose it shows intense fruity notes of pear, peach and tropical fruits. It is balanced on the palate, fresh and persistent, with good structure. Contains sulphites. Produced by Vignavolando SAS di Cocco F. & C. - Pescara - Italy.

The producer

The Di Berardino winery was born from an intuition of the owner, Fausto Di Berardino, with the intent to promote the wines through the beauty of the Abruzzo region, as well as the culture and traditions of the place, with modern and innovative methods. The vineyards, all owned by the company, cover a total of eight acres, on the hills of the Valle di Fonte Vecchia near the village Villa Caldari in the province of Chieti. These are sunny lands, once crossed by shepherds with their flocks headed to the south in search of greener pastures. All soils have converted recently from traditional agricultural lands to organic fields, thus receiving the certification from ICEA, entity that controls the production of organic soils of the area. After a careful selection of grapes, the fruits are harvested by hand without the aid of machinery.

Affable and cool wine, able to marry easily with fried fish and grilled seafood, excellent with white meats such as chicken and turkey, and vegetable soups.

How to serve it

Serve very cold, 5-6 degrees Celsius, pour in wine crystal glasses kept at low temperature.

How to keep

Store in a dark and cool cellar, in case of a long period of storage the bottle should be lying horizontally.
