Gift box of pinewood, with sliding cover, containing two 75 cl bottles of:
Brunello di Montalcino Capanna
The magnificent exposure and the rocky grounds, together with the dry and breezy climate, allow to obtain an elegant and full Brunello suitable for long aging periods. The favourable natural factors are enhanced by the selection of the grapes which guarantee a high level of quality even in less favourable years, the selection during harvest and the careful vinification in controlled temperature. Only a part of the production, that is left to age for four years in oak barrels are destined to become Brunello docg whereas the other part becomes Montalcino doc, after a year or so of aging. Even the thinning in the bottles is carefully controlled after a few months. It goes well with wild game, roast beef, but its full and variegated texture makes it an excellent meditation wine. It's advisable to open the bottle three or four hours beforehand. It should be served at 18-20°C. It should be poured in a wide and transparent crystal glass. It has an aging period of over 30 years, if conserved in the perfect environment. The bottles should be placed horizontally in a cool and dark cellar. Contains sulphites. Produced by Capanna di Cencioni - Società Agricola s.s. - Loc. Capanna, 333 - 53024, Montalcino (Siena) - Italy.

It is run in an exclusive family business, while operating in respect of the tradition but always taking into account the modern technologies which can heighten the quality of the product. The surface cultivated in vineyards is of about 12 hectares while the remaining 11 is for olive groves.
