A high quality, much longed-for Glera grape has been grown on the hillsides of Treviso since ancient times. The wine obtained is best suited to refermentation in large containers. In this way, a fine spumante is obtained. It has an unladen straw-yellow colour and flowery bouquet with a dry, well-balanced taste. Contains sulphites. Produced by Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene S.A.C. - Via San Giovanni, 45 - 31049, Valdobbiadene - Italy.

The producer

Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene is situated in the foothills of the Veneto Alps on hillsides squeezed between Asolo and Conegliano. It was formed in 1952 out of the desire of a handful of wine-makers who were determined to sustain quality. 80% of production is based on the native Glera vine, in an area where it reaches an excellent level of quality. Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene has great experience of the cultivation of the vines, experience which has been passed on from generation to generation. Careful selection is made at the moment of harvest, and modern wine-making techniques are used. Yet, perhaps above all, it is genuine enthusiasm that makes Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene a point of reference for those appreciative of Prosecco.

Best with

This is a spumante suitable for every occasion.

How to serve it

In order to appreciate this wine at its best the bottle should be taken out of the cellar and immersed for about half an hour in an ice bucket. The ideal temperature to drink this wine is 6 - 8 degrees centigrade. The bottle should be carefully uncorked making sure the wine does not gush out. The best glasses to use are clear, transparent crystal flutes.

How to keep

Like all spumanti this isn't a wine that should be aged and is best drunk within one or two years of purchase at the latest. The bottles should be laid horizontally in a cool, dark, humid wine-cellar.
