Predominantly Chardonnay, with a hint of Pinot Blanc, and that golden yellow that immediately raises anticipation. The first aromatic impressions are delicate floral notes, gradually enriched by hints reminiscent of apple and plum. On the palate, the smoothness is evident, with a persistent and creamy mousse, in the style of the finest Crémants. Fresh, savory, versatile: it pairs beautifully with almost anything, provided you don’t go too far with heavily structured meats. Contains sulphites. The producer

La Gerla is a small family-run winery located in Franciacorta, North of Italy, not far from Lake Iseo. Giuseppe Zanotti has always been a farmer, he took care of his vines with daily dedication, obtaining high-quality grapes from vineyards in the high hills, plenty of natural light. Now the passion for this wonderful land was inherited by his daughter Marialuisa who now runs the business in the constant search for quality. The estate vineyards are all located in the municipality of Gussago, the heart of Franciacorta. The grape varieties are: Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero.

This spumante is the perfect choice to add elegance to a reception or an important family event. It is excellent, whether as an aperitif or an accompaniment to the entire meal.

How to serve it

We recommend serving at 4°C in clear, transparent crystal flutes after removing the cork very delicately.

How to keep

The bottles should be laid horizontally in a cool, dark, humid wine-cellar.
