This wine is born among the hills of Montepulciano, an area rich in history and winemaking tradition, from 10 hectares of carefully selected vineyards located at around 350 meters above sea level. A six-month aging in oak enhances its structure without diminishing the intensity of its aromas and flavors, which originate from the grape varieties. It shows an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it offers the fresh aromatic profile of Sangiovese, with notes of red fruits and violet, combined with a delicate spiciness imparted by the wood aging. On the palate, balance is the key word: it is highly drinkable, yet it retains the structure expected from a high-quality red wine. Contains sulphites. Produced by Fattoria Saltecchio Soc. Sempl. Agr. - Via di Graccianiello, 3/a - 53045, Montepulciano (Siena) - Italy. E=341 kJ/81 kcal in 100 ml, nutritional values and ingredients.

The producer

Fassati is an antique Tuscan winery located in the Chianti area. It was founded in 1913 by Marquis Fassati and named in honour of its founder. From 1925 Fassati winery is a proud holder of the title of “Pope Supplier” given by Prefect of Saint Apostolic Palace. In 1969 the winery, managed by new owners, purchased various vineyards in the best production areas and started to produce Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The wineyards are all numbered and classified, which allows to track and to better understand the vine and its potential. This philosophy is practiced until now in respect of the antique traditions which have marked the territory and Fassati name. The actual ownership counts about 100 hectares of vineyards with a potential that places Fassati among the first five wineries of Montepulciano.
