This Buttafuoco dell’Oltrepò Pavese D.O.C. has a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections; the nose is intense, frank, transparent and penetrating. The typical aromas of the Croatina and Barbera vines are perceived: floral notes of violets, vinous hints, sensations of red fruits, especially plum. On the palate it stands out for its body and structure, softness and roundness, supported by an excellent alcohol content. To make this still red wine, the grapes are harvested when fully ripe and fermented in concrete vats. It is then aged in wooden barrels, where it rests for a year, before being reassembled for 180 days and then bottled. After 5 months of bottle aging it is ready to be consumed. Contains sulphites. Produced by Azienda Agricola Paravella Clementino - Frazione Cassinello, Stradella, PV - Italia.

The producer

The Paravella winery was born from the passion of the Paravella family for the magnificent wine-growing area of ​​Oltrepò Pavese and the desire to enhance the products of its land. The young and dynamic company cultivates 18 hectares of vineyards between the municipalities of Stradella, Canneto Pavese and Broni, some of the most suitable areas of the denomination. Most of the land, facing south, lies on steep slopes resting on layers of marly rock that give the wines richness, structure and complexity. In the cellar, the grapes are processed alongside traditional winemaking techniques with innovative technologies for sustainable and excellent quality production.

The structure and body of this wine suggest and recommend a combination with important meat-based main courses: game, roasts and braised meats above all.

How to serve it

It should be served at about 16 degrees centigrade. The optimal glass is a clear, smooth and colorless crystal goblet.

Store in a dark, cool place, preferably in a horizontal position.
